Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy applies to every page under the clash-for-android.com domain, including all language directories, download pages, and technical notes sections. This site is a purely static reference site providing download links, configuration tutorials, and troubleshooting documentation for Clash-family clients. Browsing this site does not require an account, and there is no login, comment, message board, or email subscription feature on any page. As a result, this site does not proactively collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other information that could directly identify a person.

Data Collected

When responding to requests, the server generates routine access logs limited to request time, request path, HTTP status code, referring page, and browser identifier (User-Agent). These logs are used to troubleshoot service issues and identify abnormal traffic, are periodically purged on a routine cycle, and are not cross-referenced with any external data source.

Beyond access logs and the visit statistics described below, this site does not collect device fingerprints, does not read the clipboard, and does not request location permissions. Page scripts are used only for functional purposes such as navigation rendering, download-link resolution, and list filtering.

Visit Statistics

To understand how traffic is distributed across pages and adjust documentation accordingly, this site uses self-hosted web analytics. The scope of tracking is limited to page-view records and a small number of interaction events (for example, switching operating-system tabs on a download page). The technical information collected includes browser type, operating system category, screen resolution, and approximate region. IP addresses are truncated for anonymization on the analytics side and are not used to reconstruct or track individual visitors.

Analytics data is stored only on servers maintained by this site, is never sold or shared with advertising platforms, and is not used for any form of targeted advertising. If a browser has a content-blocking extension enabled that blocks the analytics script, every feature of the site continues to work normally.

Cookies and Local Storage

This site does not set cookies for identity tracking on its own. The analytics component may write a small cookie used solely to distinguish "visit sessions," with a short lifetime and no personally identifying content. In addition, some pages use browser localStorage to remember interface preferences (such as the last platform tab viewed). This data is stored only on the visitor's own device and is never sent back to the server. Clearing site data in the browser fully removes these records without affecting normal browsing afterward.

Third-Party Links

Download pages and documentation on this site contain links to third parties, such as official client websites and app-store listing pages. Once a visitor clicks these links, their browsing activity is subject to the privacy policy of that third party, which this site neither controls nor is responsible for. It is recommended to obtain installation packages through the entry points listed on this site's download pages, and to verify that the app name and developer information match what is described in the documentation before installing; treat unknown or unofficial sources with caution.

Policy Updates

When the structure or analytics methods of this site change, this policy will be revised accordingly and the "Last updated" date at the top of the page will be refreshed, without separate individual notice. Revised policies take effect from the date of publication, and continued use of this site constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
